How Can you help a victim?
There are many ways to help someone who is being bullied. One way to help is to tell a trusted adult, a teacher or parent, or depending on severity the cops, these adults can help put a stop to bullying. Another way is to just, kindly, and genuinely ask,if you notice that they look sad, or are acting strange, kindly ask. sometimes you will not get an answer, they may be ashamed, embarrassed, or angry, they may think that you wont, or cant possibly understand. Do not just stop caring if this happens, understand that they are scared, and going through a hard time, simply continue to be there friend, remind them that you are there if they need help, and try to create a positive atmosphere. If someone you don't know is being bullied, befriend them, or kindly and confidently stand up for them, don't ignore it, then you are just as guilty, in some cases more, then the bully themselves. Often encouraging and being kind to a victim is some of the best help you can give! Finally some things you should not do, do not disregard their problems if they do talk to you, no matter how silly it seems to you, its important to them. Never pressure them, if you ask and remind them that your their, and they say no, don't keep bugging them, it might just make things worse. The number one thing you can do, is tell an adult, stand up for them, befriend them, and love them.
